One of the most unique horse trails along the Ugab riverbed pass the Branderg (Highest mountain in Namibia) where the famous rock painting the White Lady is situated. The Ugab dry river originated in the Otavihighlands and it passes along the Brandberg. The Ugab River's large subterranean water content makes it a major Namibian River. Stretching for 450 kilometres (280 miles), the river provides water for species such as the rare desert elephant, as well as giraffe, mountain zebra and the largest population of free-roaming black rhinos in the world.
The Ugab dry river is only bearing water seasonal after rainstorms (November - April).
You will find the typical river oasis at the river bank, such as big trees and animal abundance.
